Special Needs Hi, Meet Yankee Doodle everyone! He is a young brindle Boston boy who has had a rough holiday season after being hit by a car and finding himself at a shelter. Luckily, the nice people at Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas came to his rescue and he is now living it up in his foster home.

Yankee Doodle's right hind tibia was shattered after being hit by a car, it was so badly broken that the surgeons recommended amputation rather than trying to fix it with pins, screws, wires, and rods. On Thursday, January 6, 2011, Yankee Doodle had his hind right leg amputated and is now on his way to recovery. He gets around very well and is relieved to have that leg out of his way, nothing stops this little man from running around and getting into trouble now! Yankee Doodle enjoys stuffies, anything that squeaks, kongs, treat balls, running around the backyard, and a good old fashioned snuggle with his foster family. Anyone can win him over with pepperoni, it makes him go crazy!

Yankee Doodle is wonderful with the other dogs in his foster home, he loves to snuggle with them on the couch and would do anything to be able to sleep in bed with his foster parents at night. There is a toddler in the home and Yankee Doodle adores him, if he could kiss him to death it's guaranteed that he would!

BTRNT incurred a very large vet bill for helping me out and because they love me. Can you help my Boston Rescue family?
