Squiggy

Poor little Squiggy. He's 3 1/2  months old and just look at him. The above picture is an ideal example of why genetic research is needed when breeding. This poor little guy should never have been born because his mother should have been spayed.

When Squig came to us he had some hair as you can see but after 1 dip it was gone.

He is doing so much better now but will have to undergo several more dips to control his mange. So far he is doing great and seems like he is going to be one of those mile a minute Bostons. He is already getting practice.

Squiggy's vet bill is going to cost into the hundreds of dollars. Any financial support you can give would help us out tremendously.

As you can see, Squiggy has done remarkably well. He underwent 5 dips for his mange and never had a relapse. Squig was adopted 4/9/05 to a great family and now he has a new brother (lab,K-9) and a Boston sister. Here is an email from his new home.

I thought I would give you an update on our new addition. He is doing so great. He loves to play and plays more than he sleeps. He loves to play with the police dog more than he likes to play with Katy. Katy tolerates him but still likes his company. He has explored every inch of our home. He has found things that we didn't know existed. He has found the toy basket that has been created for him since he has been here. He isn't happy until all the toys are out and all over the floor.

We bought him so new toys and he loves them. He has only had 1 accident in our house. That was the first day that we got him so was to be exptected. He thinks going outside is to play and not really to potty. But he does manage to go outside in a brief moment of playing....

He is so loved. He sleep with us mostly. Only because we were not sure he would sleep all night. Which he does. He will stay in bed as long as we will without having to get up to potty.

We wouldn't let me stay outside unattended in the backyard because of the pool. But I was out working in the yard and he was right there with me with every week I pulled. I put him on the steps in the pool and he didn't care for it. The water is still cold so that may be the reason. But he is more scared than curious about it.

I think his favorite toy is the old tennis ball. We throw it and he retrieves and brings it back until he gets tired and then he finds a place to just lie and chew.

The birds around the widows are driving him crazy. He barks at them and pounces on the window at them. He hears every car and truck that passes and barks. He barks at any noise coming in the house.

We took him to our neighbor's house to play with their BT and they played so hard he fell asleep in my arms on the way home.

He is so sweet and we are loving him so much. He has learned about treats and knows the word and the drill of getting a treat everytime he comes from outside.

We hope to have some pictures developed of him soon and I will be sure and pass them along to you.

We would like to thank all of you that contributed to another success story. Without your help, we could not do what we do.
