North Texas Boston Terrier Club - About Us

The North Texas Boston Terrier Club, Inc. has existed for over fifty years. It began as many AKC affiliated clubs did with the goal to improve the breed and maintain the breed standard. The club consisted of Boston Terrier fanciers and those dedicated to preserving this amusing breed. In the late 1980's it became very evident that there was a need to help those Bostons in need of refuge. Thus, the humble beginnings of the North Texas Boston Terrier Club, Inc. Calls poured in weekly from pounds and individuals about Bostons of all sizes, ages, shapes and color. Breed standards had strayed! The North Texas Boston Terrier Club, Inc. Rescue of today is one that is dedicated to educating the general public about making good choices when selecting a breed and, secondly, the right Boston for their situation. Over 600 Boston Terriers have been successfully adopted to loving homes since the mid 1990's. It is through hard work and dedication to this very active and amusing breed that this organization can contribute its successes. "Thank you" to all of you who believe in recycling love.

We help dogs with serious medical problems because we believe, whenever possible, that every dog should have a chance for a happy, healthy life. Unfortunately, our veterinary expenses often far exceed the amount of the adoption donation, and we must rely on dog lovers like you to provide financial assistance.
